Munroe Regional Medical Center Names Pam Michell Chief Nursing Officer/VP of Patient Services

Munroe Regional Medical Center announced the appointment of Pam Michell as Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and Vice President of Patient Services, effective immediately.
"During her time with Munroe Regional, Pam has had a significant and positive impact on nursing development, clinical quality and organizational growth," said Steve Purves, President & CEO, Munroe Regional Medical Center. "She will play a critical role in ensuring that Munroe Regional is providing the highest levels of clinical quality and service to our community."
Michell has served as Munroe Regional's Vice President of Heart and Vascular Services since December 2007. In addition to her responsibilities as Vice President of Heart & Vascular Services, she has served as Munroe Regional's Interim CNO since January 2010.
In her new role, Michell will be responsible for the overall management of nursing practice, nursing research, nursing administration and nursing services throughout the Medical Center. She will also continue to provide executive leadership in the areas of Heart and Vascular Services (including Munroe Heart), Imaging, Laboratory, Respiratory Services and Endoscopy.
Michell has a distinguished history of senior leadership positions both inside and outside of Munroe including Senior Vice President of Operations, CNO, and Hospital Administrator/CEO. Michell holds a Bachelors Degree in Nursing and a Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration.
